Have you said this before? I know I have.
Are you trying to lose that last 10 pounds? But you keep telling yourself "I don't have time."
No time to meal prep.
No time to buy healthier groceries.
No time to pack my lunches.
No time to go for a walk.
No time to get a workout in.
No time for sleep.
And the list could go on and on and on.

*The lack of time is not the problem. The real problem is how you structure your day.
Think of an Olympic athlete... Olympic Athletes are the best in the world at their event. Olympic athletes devote time. They devote all their time to training to be the best in the world at their sport. But it is not just about training, they structure the day to win. Before the day even starts, they have a plan to know what needs to be accomplished for the day. They have time blocked rest, recovery, meals, workouts, etc. for the whole day. And it's not about trying to cram as much in as they can. They have assessed routines and habits to find the most
productive and valuable areas they need to work on. It's about improving and getting better each and every day. They have learned that if they stay out until 2:00am and get no sleep their performance decreases. So they have learned to only pursue things that make their performance better, to be the best.
So how can we learn from Olympic athletes? Structure and Focus.
It's the same thing when you are trying to lose weight. It's how you structure your time that will help you lose that weight. It's how you use your time that will push you forward to your goals.
So, the next time, you say "Oh I just don't have time" stop and think. Do I really want to lose weight? Do I really want to reach my goals? Is this something I could structure into my day? Is this other action really necessary or is it just taking up my day?
So stop and look at your activities, are your actions helping you focus on losing fat? By focusing on actions that will help you, you can easily structure into your day.
Need to get a workout in? Wake up a little earlier and start with 10-15 minutes. Instead of watching Tik Tok or Netflix for hours, take a walk. Ask a friend to join you for a walk at lunch.
So you want to start eating better, focus on buying healthier groceries. Stop eating out so much, and take some time to meal prep.
You don't have to be an Olympic Athlete and be so structured with your day, but learn to Focus on actions that will help you succeed, and fit those in your day. And you don't have to do it all at once. Start with one action and implement.
Remember it's not a lack of time, but how you use your time! Structure your day to win!
