Sustaining a healthy lifestyle is not just about workouts... it is about overall health, optimal performance, and living a long healthy, sustainable life. Along with fitness, a healthy lifestyle includes proper nutrition, adequate sleep, stress management and an overall approach to keeping the mind and body fit.
Supplements can help achieve fitness goals by filling in gaps in daily nutrition. Supplements can also help to ensure you are getting all of the proper nutrients for your body. Supplements are just that... they are designed to supplement an overall balanced diet – they are not “replacements”, they are supporters!!
I truly feel a difference when I stay regimented and incorporate these supplements into my daily routine. It can seem overwhelming with so many different supplements out there, so I want to share my supplement routine with you and why I consistently choose to incorporate them into my daily routine every single day.
GLOSSARY OF DAILY SUPPLEMENTS
Phormula-1

Salted Peanut Butter is my favorite flavor right now. This is my post-workout protein shake. It’s low temperature processed protein. This powder is a protein isolate which absorbs very fast. This is just what you need for optimal muscle recovery immediately after a workout. You want to drink this within 30 minutes of working out to aid your body in recovery and help it to retain more lean muscle mass. Repairing and recovering lean muscle tissue also helps you burn more body fat!!!
How I use: Mix 1 scoop with 8 oz of water and drink as Post Workout Recovery.
Other Ideas: Blend the protein with ice and water or almond milk in blender. Add frozen fruit, oats, chia seeds or almond butter to add more nutrients.

Full-Mega
Omega-3 are essential fatty acids because they are needed for health, but the body can not produce them on its own like other fats.
Omega-3 has many foundational benefits:
lowers blood triglycerides
can reduce excess fat from liver
can reduce symptoms of depression & anxiety
can reduce inflammation
aids in fat loss by decreasing insulin resistance
and many more benefits. It is a foundational supplement.
How I Use: Take with water with a meal 2x a day. (Breakfast & Dinner).

Turmeric
Since I workout, walk, and just daily stress of movement...This is one of my foundational supplements. It can reduce overall inflammation and help support a healthy inflammatory response, boost immune function, and improve overall well-being. It is packed with antioxidants that help protect your body against oxidative stress and promote healthy aging. It helps with joint health.
How I Use: Take 1 capsule every morning.

Project 1
This is my favorite pre-workout. It gives me just the right amount of energy during my workouts without making me feel shaky. It helps me feel more energetic and strong during tough workouts, especially on days when I am dragging, this helps me wake up! I also like this one because it has 5g of Creatine in it.
How I Use: Mix ½ scoop into a bottle of water and start drinking about 15 minutes prior to working out. My current flavor is Melon Berry.

Remember, supplements support your current healthy lifestyle!! They enhance and help you improve your overall plan. You still have to have the other puzzle pieces in place --- Movement, Resistance Training, Calorie targets, Sleep, and Stress Management. It is about creating a healthy lifestyle!!!
