The Shortcut is the LIE

Maybe you have seen "Hacks" or "Shortcut Tips" for weight loss or losing fat, and fall victim to the gimmick and then realize you just set yourself back further.


The harsh reality is... THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS! In order to be successful with losing weight, there are 5 keys to creating success. These 5 steps will help you to create long term, sustainable results.



  1. It takes work! In order to achieve your goals, you will have to work. This means meal prepping, going to the gym, buying specific grocery items, drinking your water. If you work, you will have created the habits that will help you lose weight.

  2. It takes consistency! In order to start seeing results, you need to be consistent. This means day in and day out completing the same tasks. Creating routines that help you stay on track.

  3. It doesn't have to be perfect! Every day is not going to be perfect. There are some days that you will fail. There are some days that 50% is going the be best you can do. It is not an "all or nothing" mindset. There is no need to feel bad, or guilty for slip-ups or life occurrences. It is all about learning how to navigate those moments.

  4. It takes time! It takes time. It will take longer than you think. Just remember it didn't take one day for you to gain weight, and it takes longer than a day to make weight loss happen. There is no magic pill.

  5. It takes effort! No matter what, you are in control of your success. In order to achieve weight loss, and create a sustainable lifestyle, you have to want to succeed! You have to want to learn new habits, learn to push yourself, and ultimately take full ownership. You have to keep working to control the outcome.

Shortcuts sound good! In this fast pace, instant gratification society we live in, it is easy to get consumed with taking the shortcut route. But, if you work on implementing these steps to creating a realistic, and sustainable approach to weight loss, you will succeed!
